It's going to be fun day, pigging out delicious food and great company with my friends and family. Do you have any plan for this weekend with your family? What ever your plans maybe, just have FUN! Anyways, talking about food and recipes- the latest on the list is my Sinigang na Baboy na may Gabi. So, perfect for rainy and cold days. I can totally picture myself eating this dish anytime of the day, because this is one of my favorite.
The inspiration behind this dish was when I saw the Knorr Seasoning mix while I shopping at one of my favorite store. The next thing I know was, I see myself looking for some GABI or Taro roots which is available mostly on Asian store. Taro roots makes the soup more condensed and taste scrumptious but if you can't find one just substitute with potatoes or totally skip it. This recipe is very forgiving or I called it FREE Recipe because you can totally make your own version and add whatever kind of vegetables you want. Are you ready to make some Sinigang with Gabi?? Come one you guys. Join me in my kitchen and lets taste and explore the beauty of cooking delicious food. Yum!!! Check out my super easy recipe below.

Hello Everyone!
Did you get excited seeing Lumpia on the photo? I'll do! This is my second favorite food next to Pansit. This is like updated version recipe, Since, I posted Lumpia recipe back when I started this blog which is like two years ago. I've seen few variations of lumpia recipe, so far I tried the Lumpia Shanghai-  which compose of meat usually ground pork and Vege Lumpia- which compose of vegetables but some folks add some rice noodles into the mix. What kind of Lumpia is your favorite? I prefer the Lumpia Shanghai myself, Since, I always made them for my daughter's birthday and some special occasions. Actually one of my favorite!  In this blog post, I'll be showing the step by step on how easy it is to wrap the Lumpia. Awesome!
Now, let's talk about the main ingredients? The Lumpia Wrapper-  If you are living abroad, you'll find lumpia wrapper at any Asian store. The Lumpia wrapper is so thin, delicate and easy to dry up. Make sure that you put towel on the top to make sure that it will stay soft and easy for the wrapping process later on.
What to do if the Lumpia wrapper is frozen? which is so typical when your living abroad.
* Defrost- I leave the wrapper on the counter for like an hour or so while I'll make the filling
* Put in your microwave on DEFROST for like 25-30 second. Once you feel its soft and you can bend it. Then its good to go.:)
Some folks put some peppers, cabbage and other vegetables. I think they are equally delicious and I Love them all. What are your favorites on your Lumpia?

Easy Grilled Pork Loin Recipe

Easy Grilled/Baked Pork Loin Recipe

Hello Everyone!
How was your Memorial Day celebration?  It's time of the year where everyone just head outside and  start grilling, kinda like a tradition to most of the family. Although, I missed my friends memorial day get together yesterday, being with my family still so much fun eating brownie and meatballs. The best thing about Memorial Day is giving honor to those who die by serving the country. Freedom isn't free ( ika nga) I salute all the hero who fight, served and protect the country.
Since, grilling is a HIT this time of year. I want to share my super easy grilled/ baked pork loin.Yup! because you don't have to scratch your head on what seasoning your going to mix. There's a bunch of marinade selections at the market now, that's where I bought mine.  All I have to do is simply follow the instructions on the back of the marinade packet and let the pork loin soak in for couple hours before grilling. Let me tell you, Its delicious!! Remember my post last week, when we invited my hubby's friend to come over for dinner. I made a Cheesy Baked Patato and Green beans for side dish, As promise, the recipe for grilled/ baked pork loin is finally here.. wohoo! Are you excited? ready to hit the grill pretty soon? Here's some ideas that I'm going to share with you:
* If your grilling, invite your friends to come over and have like a fun get together, exchange recipes. If you want them to bring something let them know. It could be a bowl of slice fruits, chips or sweet baked goods for dessert.
* Always make sure that you got enough drinks like water, soda, juices for everybody.
* Steak, chicken, pork, hotdog and bratwurst is always a HIT.
* Simply buy the marinate at the store, marinate the meat of your choice ahead of time. Give yourself a time allowance to prepare everything before the guest arrived.
Are you ready to add my Grilled Pork Loin in your grilled recipe collections?  Come on join me in my cooking escapade.:) wink..:)

Notes:
- I used to store bought marinade to marinate the Pork. Feel free to used your favorite marinade, if you have a good recipe. Please do share:)
-Adjust the taste according to your preference, adjust the quantity of the food also according to the number of guests

Ingredients:

2.5- 3 lbs of Pork Loin
1 pack of McCormick Brown Sugar Bourbon marinade
 - Keep in mind that you might need couple ingredients for the marinade of your choice. Read the back of the packet:)

 Directions:
1.) Follow the instruction on the back of the McCormick marinade. Set two tablespoon of marinade aside for basting later on. Pour the mix marinade into large container and rub into the pork loin. Let it set for couple hours before grilling. For best result, I would suggest 24 hours marinade is a MUST.:)
2.) Heat up your Grill, I used indoor one on mine. Grill it to perfections!  I would say, about 10 minuts on each side until its cooked all the way.

NOTES: You don't have to transfer your grilled pork onto the oven. In my case, I want everything to be done before our guest arrived, So, I decided to sliced the pork and put it into the oven, you may noticed on the photo that is not cook all the way, because I took it out too early on the grilled and continue the cooking process in the oven. It also give me time to clean up everything and get ready.
Remember the 2 tablespoon that we set aside for later. I pour it on the top of the sliced pork and baked at 350 for like 45- 1 hour.
* Check it once in awhile make sure that you have enough sauce to avoid drying up.
Sounds so easy right? It is, I promise! and it taste so delicious too. Its soft, juicy and you can taste the marinade. Perfect pair with Cheesy Baked Potato and Green Beans. Check out my sweet bake goods for your dessert recipe ideas.
Until next delicious food recipe escapade everyone. I hope this recipe looks good enough for you to try at home or maybe on your next party gatherings. Enjoy the rest of the day.!:)
