Side Dish: Sauteed Asparagus

Sauteed Asparagus with Onion

Hello everyone! Do you have any big plans this weekends? Any recipes do you want to try? Shopping with friends? Whatever your plans for this week may be, I'm sure its going to be FUN.
So, talking about recipe that you might want to try this week, what about Sauteed Asparagus? Yum! Let me tell you something! This is probably the easiest side dish you can make in very short time and of course it taste divine. One more thing, this side dish is very versatile it can go with anything, best paired with steak, grilled pork chopped and much more. Are you excited? I am! because its not only so good and nutritious it is also very inexpensive this time of year. I buy vegetables that are on season to cut off the prices and make something so simple yet so delicious out of it.
Are you ready for some Sauteed Asparagus? The idea here is that, you can totally rock this dish by making it your version. You can totally add you favorite ingredients like bacon or make a salad out of it. You can also steam asparagus and add butter at the end, even baked asparagus is totally awesome or  you can just simple sautee the asparagus just like what I did.. Super simple! and so fast! How do you like your asparagus cook? I'm curious what what asparagus soup taste like. I should try it next time..(wink) Anyway, can I tell how quick the cooking process is? 5-7 minutes only (That's it!). Just one taste and I'm pretty sure you'll SOLD! that's how scrumptious this dish. Yum! Its kinda strange I just ate but I'm getting hungry right now.( hahaha)
Join me in my kitchen and lets make it together. (High Five) C'mon.:)

Note:
-Adjust the quantity for larger crowd.
-Taste according to you preference
- It is also good grilled and steam. Also you can add some of your favorite ingredients like bacon and make salad out of it.

Ingredients:
1lb.Asparagus- sliced
1/2 medium onion- sliced
2 teaspoon butter
salt and pepper- to taste

Directions:
1.) Wash the asparagus thoroughly, Sliced it according to your preference. I like mine simple chunks
2.) Meanwhile, In large pan put 2 teaspoon butter, add the sliced onion and sautee for couple minutes.
3.) Add the asparagus and let it sautee for like 5 minutes until its cooked crisp. Salt and Pepper to taste. Done!
4.) Serve warm along with your favorite meal. Yum!

  9. Looks delicious.

Asparagus is very nutritious. When my eldest is still a baby, I feed her with asparagus, boiled and blended. Unfortunately, I seldom find asparagus in local grocery stores here in Bohol. The last one I bought were no longer fresh :(
