My Favorite Food Collections

Hello Everyone!

Today, I'm taking you to for an ultimate food trip. Yes! I'll be sharing my ultimate favorite food, recipes, and foodie escapades. This is just basically a collections summary of my ultimate favorite food. I started blogging back in 2012, since then, I know that my blog is all about my love for food. And sharing that love for food through my blog felt amazing. It's not only that I learned from my fellow bloggers, readers, but also able to learn new recipes and experience new things. Its always fun experimenting food. Do you agree? I remember the first time I received my first cookbook, my first baking experience, and first time trying new recipe. Let me tell you! Its not always a success. I failed so many times but the FUN part was the experience. Its give me motivation to keep me going until I got it right. Moving on... Are you ready to explore my ultimate favorite food? I hope your excited because I'm taking you with me.
I have way to many favorites. Its hard to choose just few, So, I'm giving my long list of my favorites. I'll promise you! this is going to be fun and delicious food-trip ever.  By the way, I made all the recipes mention on this blog post. Kamote Que is deef fried sweet potatoes covered with caramelized brown sugar.  It's one of my favorite because its easy to make, affordable, delicious, and it reminds me back home. Delicious! I'm thinking having this later today. Yum! For recipe check the link HERE.


Shakoy or well known as Twisted Donuts covered with sugar is also one of my favorite because its simply delicious. It reminds me of my Grandma who used to make Shakoy every weekend. Totally love this food. Click HERE for recipe.

Binangkal- is basically fried sweet dough with sesame seeds. This is for sure my ultimate snacks! I love how simple it is and its delicious. If you want to make it at home, just click HERE for the recipe.


Monggo Bread ( Pan de Monggo) is for sure my favorite bread of all time. It has the combination of my two favorite ingredients. Monggo beans and sweet soft bread. This is really something that I would make every now and then.. So delicious! For recipe just click HERE.



Chicken Empanada- is  combination of sweet flaky pastry with chicken filling. Its a perfect meal indeed. Its super easy to make and tasty. Yum! For Empanada recipe just click HERE.


Crispy Fried Chicken- a homemade fried chicken that taste so good is fantastic! This is actually my family's favorite and its so good paired with white rice and homemade gravy. Yum! For super easy recipe please click HERE



 Suman Malagkit- This remind me so much back home! The sweet sticky rice wrapped with banana leaves and cooked to perfection. So good! For recipe just click HERE



 BIKO- this Filipino delicacy is amazingly delicious. It made with sticky sweet rice with caramel sauce. I'm a big fan of BIKO for sure! Its something that I eat once a month. Yummo! For recipe please click HERE.


 Butsi - is something that I crave from time to time and one of my favorite. This little goodies is delicious. Its soft dough with sweet coconut filling inside and covered with sugar. Yum! For recipe click HERE.

TAHO- this is simply good. Its made with tofu, tapioca, and drizzle with caramel sauce. This is great for merienda! For recipe please click HERE.

Quick and Fun Party Ideas

Pacquiao VS Mayweather Fight Mini Party

 


Hello Everyone!
How are you all doing today? I know its been awhile since the last time I blog. I was super busy in past couple weeks and my allergies is kicking me out badly. I feel a little better now though (wink)
Anyways, I'm sure most of you watched the fight of the century the "Mayweather vs Pacquiao's" fight and of course being a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao, I hosted a little party for me and my friends. It was so much watching the fight and of course hanging out with each other. Join me as we discover few party ideas and food recipes for this most awaited fight of all time. Yippee!:)

Let's get is ON!
Start it off with DRINKS, Silverware and Snacks
-  I like to have a varieties of drinks from bottled water, tea, different kind of soda's and of course alcoholic drink that includes beer, margarita's and what not.
- In this party I mostly used paper plates, plastic cups,plastic forks and spoon for easy clean up. .
- Then, a lot of SNACKS- and that includes my favorite back home which is Chippy and Piattos and of course the classic snack chips and dip. Yum!



Food Ideas!
- We had Pizza galore. Yes! I mean 6-7 boxes of pizza's. We also have rice, dried fish, milkfish, mung bean stew, green beans and adobo.
- For our dessert we have german chocolate cake, binangkal and cassava cake.

Feeling the MOMENT!

-After our dinner, the fight begun and it was like a roller coaster of emotions. At least for me, I was so nervous the whole time. We were screaming and cheering the whole time and before we knew it..its OVER!



 The pay per view was so expensive and I felt like its not worthed for 30 minutes running around, threw few punches here and there, and hugs galore. The excitement lasted only for few minutes, until I realized that they're doing same thing over and over again run, punch and hugs.
Win or loss- I'm still so proud of Manny Pacquiao and in my heart his truly the champion.

Awesome Easter Ideas

Advance Happy Easter Everyone!

Easter is something that I look forward, the festive celebration, the egg-hunt, and egg decorating is just so much fun bonding moments for the whole family. This year, I'm really excited! because my kids is now at perfect age, were they expresses their excitement and thoughts about Easter, and that makes me so happy. To pump it up to the next level-  Two days ago, I started shopping for my kids Easter egg basket and came up with this Awesome Easter Ideas. I can't wait to share my kiddies Easter basket. Also, I'll be sharing some sweet recipes, tips, and ideas for awesome Easter celebration. Are you excited? Let's go!

Shopping for Easter Basket: I shopped a week before Easter, where mostly are on SALE. Yes! saving money on things you buy is so much FUN.
Tips: Use coupons, rewards cards, and take advantage on store sales and discounted products. Seasonal products like Easter candies, basket and eggs usually go on sale, paired that with coupons. Awesome!

A Perfect Easter Basket: Aside from sweet chocolates and candies that you put on your Easter egg. You can also put some cute little things like hair ties, nail polish, lip gloss, and coins. Make it FUN!

Now that we got everything we need for Easter Basket. Let's start!
- Lay piece of paper on the bottom of the basket, to avoid Easter grass from falling out. I used two color of shredded paper on mine as my Easter grass. (Blue and White)
- Put a piece or two candies on the each plastic eggs.
-Once the plastic eggs is all filled with candies. It's time to start putting them on the basket.
- Whoala! Easter basket for kiddies is DONE
Tips:
Used travel size lotion, body wash and hair clips to make more fun. Also used your kids favorite CANDIES.:)



Easter Egg-hunt Ideas:

- Invite your family and friends 3-4 weeks before Easter.
- Scatters the eggs before the egg hunt begin. I suggest hide it all over the house, or if you have big backyard that would be great as well. Make it fun and colorful by using different colors of eggs.
- Make the Easter gathering fun, easy and stress free by letting your friends and family bring some dish to share. Yum!
-Enjoy the moment with your family on Easter and have fun watching the kids hunting for their eggs.

 Egg Decorating with Fiora temporary tattoos:

Aside from the most awaited Easter celebration and making my kiddos Easter basket. I'm also very exited when it comes to egg decorating. Yes! this is something that I look forward to this year. Together with my kids, we dye 6 eggs and color them using an egg coloring. I invited my friends to come over to join with our egg decorating to make it more fun and festive for the kids.We used our Fiora temporary tattoos samples to decorate the eggs. Party Favor Idea


 Birthday Favor

( Binangkal )

I do love creating some party favor idea myself. As food enthusiast party food favor is way to go. I made this birthday favor for my friend Rachel, her little princess turned one couple weeks ago..So, I insisted to make this party favor for my fellow friends. As you know me I like to style my food, package them with CUTE stuff that you can easily find it at your home. The birthday theme is Disney princess, white and pink balloons and such more princess stuff. The birthday party was wonderful every one is just having FUN..:)
 I made this Binangkal ( sesame balls- as my hubby called it ) for the party treat, my friends loved them and so do I.. If you want to know the recipe for binangkal just click HERE very easy to make with few ingredients.. This is like an idea for party favor, I would say just be creative and you got perfect treat for your guest every time. Below is the procedure on how to make this cute party favor. Check it out.. (wink)

Notes: 
-Make sure to make the binangkal little smaller to fit on the mini cupcake cups.
-It is personalized party favor, so feel free to use your favorite treat.
-Be creative.. used your favorite color and theme for packaging.

Things you'll need:
12 pieces Binangkal
12 pieces mini cupcake cups
Clear plastic wrap
Colored napkin- I used orange 
Pen
Scissor
Colored paper
 String/Ribbons


Directions:
 1.) Place the mini cupcake cups on the plate. Cut the colored napkin into little triangle and place it on the center on the cupcake cups. Then place your treat on the center;

2.) Cover it with using your cut off plastic wrap; make sure you wrapped every single part of the treats; Then using the plastic string tie the whole thing; slip the notes on the side and tie it one more time.

3.) Enjoy the party and don't forget to grab some party favor.:)

Binangkal Recipe


Binangkal Craving


I don't usually have this intense craving for " Binangkal" but this time, It's different. I can't resist myself but to make my own for the first first time. I was surprised how it turned out, It was divine!. It's crunchy outside and sweet cakey like taste inside, to top it off! the sesame seed outside the ' Binangkal " made it more divine that I just keep coming back for more until I can't eat anymore ( haha ). My hubby and kids loved it, I was really happy about that. It was delicious and very easy to make.
I remember my  best friend Michelle made this " Binangkal" on my baby shower before, and it was really good. She made it couple more times and I can't get it out of head since then. I have " Binangkal " before back while I'm in Pinas but not as good as Michelle made it though. I don't know her secret recipe but this recipe is little close to what my best friend Michelle used to make ( haha ).
I was having little problem at first how the sesame sticking to the dough but I figured it out right after I made my first batch.  I loved  Binangkal and the craving is finally over. I might keep making Binangkal every once in awhile. It just that good!  It took me like 45 minutes it clean the whole thing up but it's all worthed. I enjoyed eating "binangkal"

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup water
2 tbsp oil
sesame seeds


Directions:
1.) Shift together dry ingredients. Set aside;
2.) Mix brown sugar, water, oil. Add slowly the dry ingredients into the mixture. Mix it well.
3.) Using teaspoon, take bits of batter, roll into little balls and roll into sesame seeds.
4.) Fry it deep hot oil until brown.
5.) Serve it hot or cold along with your favorite drinks and ENJOY!. I like mine with hot chocolate.:)

 Finish product. I made like 20-24 pieces.. wink:)
