I have to redeemed 6 free coupons of Blount Organic soup of my choice as part of sampling the product. I grabbed 4 Blount Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup and 2 Organic Ancient Grain Minestrone Soup. Then, we head over to my friends house and we had so much fun sampling these delicious gourmet soup. We first tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup (A unique soup made with tender chicken, flavorful roasted corn, diced tomatoes, Monterey Jack cheese and jalapeƱo peppers) A little spicy which me and my friends loved, smells great, and has all delicious ingredients that you want for a perfect chicken tortilla soup. The best thing about Blount Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup its ORGANIC- Yes! its absolutely delicious!
Then, we tried  Ancient Grain Minestrone Soup (Classic minestrone flavor with an ancient twist – farro, quinoa, and barley make this a hearty treat)- Its perfect! the texture of different grains, organic veggies, and perfect blend of seasoning. Delicious and flavorful soup!

Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Soup Recipe

Easy Soup Recipe 


Hello Everyone!

After my amazing  Family Disney World Vacation  I'm totally happy and excited to share my first soup recipe. Yes! you heard it right my very first soup recipe ever. The inspiration came from online recipe source but I added my own twist on the recipe. I'll promise you this is going to be delicious foodie adventure. The fun part about this recipe is, you can add your favorite ingredients- like chicken, potatoes, and green onion and the results SCRUMPTIOUS! Its totally forgiving recipe (easy and fun to make!)

Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

Chicken- cut into bite-size pieces
Fresh Broccoli/ or frozen- cut into small pieces
Cheddar Cheese- garnish
1 can of Campbell's Broccoli Cheese condensed soup
3/4 cup of milk
1 onion- chopped
1 green onion- chopped 
Salt N Pepper- to taste
1 teaspoon of cooking oil/ butter
1 can of Chicken Broth
Shredded Potatoes- optional


Directions:

1.) Melt butter or put in cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken, cooked until golden brown. Add the chopped onions, broccoli and let it cooked for 2-3 minutes.
2.) Add the Chicken broth, broccoli cheese condensed soup, shredded potatoes, and milk. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes. 
3.) Add more milk if you need to and adjust the taste according to your preference. Add the green onions and shredded cheese if you like.
4.) Served hot. Add shredded cheese on top and sliced of bread. Enjoy!
Tips: This recipe is so forgiving and delicious in anyway. Feel free to add your favorite ingredients. Adjust the taste according to your preference.



Cheesy Chicken Broccoli soup is unbelievably delicious! Its perfect for cold weather, appetizer, and even for simple dinner. I had this couple days ago and it was scrumptious. Its creamy, cheesy, delicious, totally tastes chunk of chicken and broccoli pieces. The combination of flavor is perfect!

Sinigang na Bangus Recipe

Hello December! Christmas is closer than I thought and on this first week of the month. We gonna put up our Christmas Tree this week, feeling excited!:). On the first day of the month, Allow me share my most favorite dish Boiled Milkfish and the best word to describe this recipe DELICIOUS!. I grew up eating this fish and my Mom prepared milkfish by boiling it combine with garden leafy vegetables we have grown on the farm. The broth have a sour taste to it but it make this dish set apart from the rest of fish dishes I have. I think my mouth just water just saying the word sour, Do you feel same way too when you hear the word sour?. Anyways, are you guys ready for Cyber Monday tomorrow? And thinking about some good dinner recipe? Sinigang na Bangus might be the perfect fit for this cold weather. I personally love Milkfish it can be fried, boiled or steam..:) If this is your first time eating this fish, it might be not fun for you cause this fish have so much bones on it. Its hard to eat it right away but thanks to my Mom who trained me how to eat this fish in right way :)  Good news! Boneless Bangus or Milkfish already marinated and ready to cook is already available in all Asian Store  and getting popular in a lots of supermarket in the Philippines. How cool is that?  Pretty cool indeed! for a Milkfish lover like me. I always have in stock on my freezer , very convenient for easy breakfast and when my friends come over, Oh! yeah.. It's like back in the Philippines again. Looking for something sweets to end this scrumptious meal? What about macaroni salad, binignit, suman malagkit and much more.! wink:)  So, let this excitement put into action and lets start cooking Sinigang na Bangus- ( Boiled Milkfish). I have Sinigang na Bangus boiling right now my my stove top and it smells really good...:) 
  
Note: 
-I leave the skin on this recipe but you can totally do skinless milkfish if you want.
-Make it totally your own recipe by adding your favorite vegetables and seasoning
-Add vinegar for sour taste if you don't have sinigang mix.:) That's what I did on mine... 
- Adjust the taste according to your preference. 



Ingredients:
Milkfish- sliced into desire pieces.
Eggplant- sliced
Bokchoy/Petchay- sliced
1 tiny green chili- (optional, I like mine with little hint of chili :) )
Tomato- sliced
Ginger- sliced
Green Onion
Salt and Pepper
Sinigang mix or vinegar
Onion
Water




Directions:
1.)  In large pot boil 4-5 cups of water depending on how much broth you want. Once the water is boiling add the ginger, onion, green onion and salt and pepper.
2.) Wait for couple minutes until you smell the aroma, then add the milkfish. Let it simmer for like 5-8 minutes.
3.) Add the tomato, bokchoy, petchay, eggplant and the chili. Let it simmer until the vegetables and the fish cook through. Add the sinigang mix or in this case I add vinegar for that sour taste broth that I'm looking for. Adjust the taste according to your preference. 
4.) Sinigang na Bangus is served. Enjoy! Best serve with rice.

Tinolang Isda Recipe


Fish soup with leafy vegetables



Tinolang Isda is the way of cooking fish soup in the Philippines. The name varies depends on what region you're in, Cebuano's or Visayan  called it Tinowang Isda or Sinabaw na Isda. 
 Cooking is so simple, fish is boiled with ginger, tomataoes, onion and seasoned it with salt and pepper. My version of Tinola is just little different from traditional one, Since, I'm using frozen fish. Although is it not as good compared to fresh fish still good enough to satisfy my craving for some Tinola. I used red snapper on this dish but you can totally used whatever fish you like.
Let's have some Tinolang Isda this week..:) C'mon let's start cooking


Ingredients:
Red Snapper fish-  used whatever fish you like
Spinach/ malunggay leaves
Ginger
Onion
Tomato
Chayote Squash- Optional
Salt and Pepper- to taste
Oil

Directions:
1.) Put oil in the pan, wait until it get HOT and start frying the fish. Set aside
2.) Using same pan sautee the ginger and onion.
3.) Add water onto the pan, salt an pepper and chayote squash. Let it come up to a boil.
4.) Add the fish and spinach. Let it simmer for 3 minutes.
5.) Serve best when its HOT. Enjoy and share with friends


Tips:
- Fresh fish is recommended.
-Used whatever you like for leafy vegetables
- Taste according to your preference.
-Frying the fish  is optional

Pork Sinigang Recipe

Sinigang is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savory flavor most often associated with tamarind (sampalok). It is one of the popular viands in Philippine cuisine.

 I would say "  pork sinigang" is one of my comfort food. This is one of my favorite food during rainy or cold season aside from Binignit.
 Me and my circle of friends enjoyed pork sinigang most with fish sauce on the side..just so perfect together.. wonder why I'm drooling right now..hahaha
This recipe is from my friend Rachel, she loved to make sinigang for everyone, I call it her specialty, although we do change it a little bit by adding spinach instead of bokchoy or petchay. This sour soup is just so perfect for friends get together, potluck party and for the whole family to enjoy. Rachel don't mind sharing her delicious sinigang. I'll promise you, you won't disappointed how good is it. C'mon let's start cooking!
Note: 
-Used whatever parts of pork you like and vegetables like green beans, peppers, eggplant and much more.
- adjust the sour taste according to your liking:)

Ingredients:
Pork- cut into chunk pieces ( I used pork belly )
Tomato
Petchay/ Bokchoy- (I used spinach)
Onion
Salt and Pepper
Knorr Sinigang Mix/ Mama Sita's sinigang mix
Water




 Directions:
1.) In large pot, bring the cut chunk pork to boil, Let it simmer until the pork is tender for about 45 minutes.
2.) Add the tomatoes, knorr sinigang mix and taste according to your preference. Cover for 5 minutes
3.) Add the spinach, salt and pepper to taste. Remove from the stove.
4.) Best when serve hot along with rice. Enjoy!

Ginisang Monggo Recipe

(Mung Bean Soup)



 This is the dish I love growing up, my family grown Mung Beans and when its harvest time, Guess what for dinner? Ginisang Monggo ( Mung Bean Soup with all kinds of season vegetables) I admit I'm not a big vegetable fun when I was a kid, but since my parent are farmers, I don't have much choice other than eat whats on the table, mostly vegetables ( hehehe ). 
Now that I'm far away from home, I terribly missed this dish and little inspired also, Since it's My Mama's favorite!
 This coming Mother's Day, I offer this Ginisang Monggo in honor of my Mama back home. This is also her favorite dish and she always made this once or twice a week. It's like, a way of saying " Thank You" for being such a wonderful Mama and for everything that you thought me in life. I love you!
 I also love to utilize Mung beans by using it on bread like Monggo Bread and spanish roll filling. Below is my own Ginisang Monggo Recipe, you can totally make it your own. Enjoy cooking:)

NOTE: Add any vegetables on hand. You can also totally rock this dish by putting some coconut milk.
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Mung bean
1 eggplant
1/4 of whole cabbage/ bokchoy/spinach
1  Bell pepper
Onion 
Garlic
Tomato
Ground beef- ( meat of your choice)
Oil
Water
Ginger
 Salt and Pepper- to taste

Directions:
1.) Throw the mung beans in large pot, boil it for like 45 minutes to an hour, until it cook. Set aside.
2.) Put oil in other pan, sauteed the garlic, onion and ginger. Add the ground beef and let it brown.
3.) Add the cooked mung beans and chopped vegetables and let it simmer until everything is cook.
4.) Salt and Pepper and simmer for another 5 minutes.
5.) Serve HOT with rice. ENJOY~

Binignit Recipe


Binignit/ Ginataan Recipe

(my own version of binignit )

Some people called this "Ginataan na Halo-Halo or Ginataan" but in the place were I grew up, we called it "Binignit"  its pretty popular in the Philippines some people sell this in cups for snacks/merienda time on the whole neighborhood, this is usually served during Holy Week in the Philippines  Last couple days I've been thinking about making binignit and finally I made it, luckily for me! I have some fresh riped banana left over from Banana Que I made last week.Throw everything in one pot and wholaa! enjoying binignit in minutes.  Everyone have its own delicious version of making this delightful snack  My version of Binignit was inspired on how I remembered my Mom's made it for us, simple yet deliscious. But due to the  unavailability of some ingredients I only have some few on my binignit. The taste still good though!:).~  I would say that.. simplest ingredients is the best!!C'mon lets start cooking!
Below is the recipe Binignit:)
NOTE: Feel free to add your favorite ingredients like ube, cassava, gabi, landang, small tapioca pearl, bilo-bilo, etc.


 Ingredients:
1/2 cup sweet rice
1 large size sweet potato- cut into cubes
2-3 pieces Saba banana- cut into cubes
1 cup tapioca- it just happen that I only have the purple tapioca, but different color of tapioca is recomended
Sugar- depending on how sweet you want it to be
2 cans coconut milk
1 cup water

Directions:
1.) Cook the tapioca in hot water for 5 minutes, drain and set aside.
2.) In large pot, put the sweet rice along with the 1 cup water. Let it boil until for 10-15 minutes and the rice start to cook.
3.) Add the sweet potato and coconut milk. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
4.) Add the banana's, tapioca pearl and sugar. Let it stand for another 5 minutes or until everything is cooked through.
5.) Add little sugar or coconut milk if necessary. Serve hot and ENJOY!

Boiled Pork

(Boiled Pork with vegetables)


 Have you ever felt being lazy?, Don't feel like getting up on the bed, Don't wanna do anything specially during cold season, But still want that perfect meal! I got an idea for you Nilagang Baboy. This is very fulfilling dish, perfect companion during those lazy moments. Personally, I love this dish! and so my kids. There's a lot of version making boiled pork but I'd like to keep mine as simple as it is; I'll show you, How I make mine as easy as 123...:)

Ingredients:
Pork- (cut into big chunks)
Bokchoy
Green onion
Ginger
Water
Pepper
Salt 

Directions:
1.) Put water, pork,ginger in large pot and let boil for 45 minutes until meat is tender.
2.) Add bokchoy and green onion. Salt and Pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
3.) Serve it while it hot!
